One of the biggest off-Broadway and Broadway successes comes to Bellingham, Ma starting Aug. 20 in a new production, directed by Michael La Fleur (Celine Dion, Disney, Universal). Godspell is a retelling of the Gospel According to St. Matthew, performed by a troupe of 10 talented performers. The play Features a score by Stephen Schwartz (who composed Wicked and Pippin). Godspell boasts a number of recognizable songs, including the hit, "Day By Day."

Based on passages found in The Gospel According to St. Matthew, Godspell is known to feature toe-tapping song and dance, and a moving story. The show has been playing to sold out crowds around the world. In Steps' new production, director La Fleur gives his take of Godspell with contemporary references. La Fleur has staged Godspell numerous times around the country. The cast includes local favorites, Nicolas Landmesser (Milford, Ma), Christopher O' Reilly (Hopkinton, Ma), Meg Lowey (Foxboro, Ma), Aubrie Bagdasarian (Bellingham, Ma), Stephanie Crugnola (Franklin, Ma), Alexandra Dutremble (Bellingham, Ma), Maria Norris (North Attleboro, Ma), Ron Vorce (Marlboro, Ma), Corey Cadigan (West Bridgewater) and Brendan Duquette (North Attleboro, Ma) as Jesus.
