Featuring Over 100 Talented Berkshire Youth, TARZAN Begins Today

Featuring hit music by rock legend, Phil Collins, such as the Academy Award-winning "You'll Be in My Heart," as well as "Two Worlds," Tarzan swings and sings onto The Colonial Theatre stage (111 South Street; Pittsfield, MA), running Thursday, July 26 through Thursday, August 16. Directed by Travis Daly (The Music Man, Beauty and the Beast, Mary Poppins), with music direction by Mark Gionfriddo (The Music Man, Beauty and the Beast, Mary Poppins) and choreography by Avital Asuleen (The Music Man), this adored musical features over 100 talented Berkshire youth.

A magical and memorable theatrical experience for the whole family, Tarzan follows the story of an orphaned boy, raised by gorillas in the jungle. Struggling to find balance between his human instinct and animalistic education, Tarzan's life is altered forever when he encounters his first human, the curious and wonderful, Jane.

Director Travis Daly says, "Tarzan's uplifting themes of compassion, acceptance and understanding show us how infectious the power of love is to unite two different worlds to form one family."

Tickets for Tarzan range from $25 to $55. Tickets may be purchased in person at the Colonial Ticket Office at 111 South Street, Pittsfield or by calling (413) 997-4444 or online at www.BerkshireTheatreGroup.org. The Ticket Office is open Monday-Saturday 10am-5pm, Sundays 10am-2pm or on any performance day from 10am until curtain. All plays, schedules, casting and prices are subject to change.
