Curtain Call Theatre Presents The Musical NUNSENSE

This fall, Curtain Call Theatre in Braintree will present Nunsense, directed and choreographed by David Costa and music directed by Danielle Clougher. Winner of four Outer Critics Circle Awards, including Best Off Broadway Musical, Nunsense begins when the Little Sisters of Hoboken discover that their cook, Sister Julia, Child of God, has accidentally poisoned 52 of the sisters, and they are in dire need of funds for the burials. The sisters decide that the best way to raise the money is to put on a variety show, so they take over the auditorium.

Performances will take place October 26 and 27 and November 2 and 3 at 8 p.m., and October 28 and November 4 at 2:00 p.m. Tickets cost $25 and can be purchased at www.curtaincallbraintree.org or by calling 1-866-811-4111.

Says Nunsense director, David Costa, "There's a reason Dan Goggin's show is the second-longest-running Off-Broadway show in history. It's funny. It's fun. It's touching. There is something for everyone. The beauty of Nunsense, is that it's about people, their lives, and the choices they made in life. You don't need to be Catholic to enjoy this show. And let's face it, dancing nuns are funny!"

Curtain Call Theatre (CCT) was founded in June 1962, when a core group of local performers from various little theatre groups united to perform Oklahoma! Says CCT president, Toni Ruscio: "Our purpose is to provide a medium for people to develop their creative talents through experience in the field of theater. Curtain Call Theatre stages three productions a year. Auditions are open to everyone and we encourage all who are interested in live theatre to participate."
