Crazy for You Opens At the Cape Playhouse

Crazy for You is set to open August 8th at the Cape Playhouse. Who could ask for anything more than a Gershwin musical extravaganza? Crazy for You opens at the Cape Playhouse in Dennis on August 8th, and the musical comedy featuring tap dancing Follies Girls, mistaken identities, and plenty of romance is sure to dazzle and delight. 

After a hugely successful run of Footloose, the Cape Playhouse brings another all singing, all dancing musical comedy to Dennis. Starring Bill Bateman, Michael Brian Dunn, and Natalie Joy Johnson, this star-studded Broadway cast will have you singing along with the classic Gershwin tunes and loving every minute of their incredible dancing.

Bobby Child (Matt Loehr) is a stage struck playboy who only wants to dance, and "Can't Be Bothered Now" with his tedious banking job. After going to Nevada to foreclose on a theatre, he falls in love with the spirited Polly Baker (Vanessa Sonon), but naturally runs into complications, including mistaken identities, show-stopping Follies numbers, and an irate and frustrated fiancé (Natalie Joy Johnson).

The Cape Playhouse is thrilled to welcome such a talented cast to bring to life the timeless Gershwin songs including "Someone to Watch Over Me," "I Got Rhythm," "Embraceable You," and "Shall We Dance". Combine unbelievable dancing, Gershwin music, Broadway stars and a riotous script and you'll be crazy for Crazy for You.

Crazy for You runs from August 8th through August 20th. Performances are every evening Monday through Saturday at 8 PM.
