The region's award-winning Company Theatre presents the pop/rock roller skating adventure musical Xanadu, from today, February 5 through 9, at The Company Theatre Centre for the Arts, 30 Accord Park Drive, Norwell, MA. Xanadu is a Palace Theatre of New Hampshire touring production, based on the Universal Pictures film, with book by Douglas Carter Beane, music and lyrics by Jeff Lynne and John Farrar.

Broadway's surprise hit Xanadu, the musical comedy based on the 1980 cult classic film starring Olivia Newton-John and Gene Kelly, is pure fun and total genius! The magical journey follows Greek muse Kira, who descends from Mt. Olympus to Venice Beach in 1980 on a quest to inspire a struggling artist, Sonny, to achieve the greatest creation of his life - a roller disco. Chaos abounds when the ethereal Kira falls in forbidden love with the mortal Sonny and her jealous sisters discover their secret. Featuring great 80's hits, this show delivers a night of pure retro flashback fun! Legendary chart topping tunes that will lift you out of your seat include I'm Alive, Magic, Evil Woman and Xanadu.

Tickets for Xanadu are $34 to $36. For a complete performance schedule, to order tickets, or for more information, call the box office at 781-871-2787, email boxoffice@companytheatre.com, or visit www.companytheatre.com. Matinee and evening performances are available. The box office is open Monday to Friday from 11 am to 6 pm, and during all performances. Free parking is available on site, and the theatre is handicap accessible.
