Citi Performing Arts Center Elects Six to Board of Directors

By:

Citi Performing Arts Center today announced the addition of six new business and nonprofit leaders to its Board of Directors and four to its Board of Overseers. The induction was ratified at the Center's 2016 Annual Meeting, which was held on June 14 on the Wang Theatre stage and highlighted the organization's FY2016 achievements in live performance programming, arts education, venue preservation, and community engagement.

"As we conclude this fiscal year, I'm delighted to report that we are one of the nation's most vibrant and financially sound performing arts centers," said Josiah A. Spaulding, Jr., President & CEO of Citi Performing Arts Center. "Looking ahead to our new fiscal year, we are excited about this summer's City Spotlights Leadership Program - our largest ever - and the diverse performances we have lined up for the fall. We are energized to maintain the momentum of this recent record-breaking year, especially as conversations continue with potential naming rights partners."

The meeting reelected current Board members (listed here) and welcomed the following to the Board of Directors: Marc Crisafulli, Executive Vice President, Suffolk Construction; Darren Donovan, Office Managing Principal, KPMG; Meg Fofonoff, Producing Artistic Director, Fiddlehead Theatre Company; Charley Polachi, Partner, Polachi & Co.; Jill Shah, Senior Vice President, MINDBODY; and Mark M. Weld, Former Managing Director, Clarion Partners, LLC. The following were elected to the Board of Overseers: Dario Collado, Director of Development, Hispanic Heritage Foundation; Julia Mirak Kew, Vice President, Mirak Properties; Michael Leary, Senior Mortgage Banker, Webster Bank; and Katy O'Neil, Executive Vice President, Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce.

"The Center had a terrific year, and as we continue to expand our mission and work to make Boston a world-class cultural community, it's critical to have smart, committed, and engaged Board members contribute to our innovative culture," said Paul Guzzi, Citi Performing Arts Center Board Chair. "I am thrilled to welcome all new members of our Boards of Directors and Overseers who will add diverse skill sets to our existing governance and help us propel the organization forward as a leader in Boston's cultural community."
