Cirque du Soleil Launches OVO Soundtrack, Comes To Boston 7/22
Cirque du Soleil launched today the new soundtrack for OVO, the latest big top touring show opening on July 22 in Boston at the Fan Pier & Pier 4, on Boston's New Waterfront.
About the soundtrack: The latest Cirque du Soleil album takes you away to beautiful Brazil on the wings of Berna Ceppas' imagination! For the very first time, Cirque du Soleil explores vibrant Brazilian influences with composer Berna Ceppas- along with co-producer Alain Vinet-who bring together diverse samba sounds, from the Amazon to the carnival streets of Rio de Janeiro, with electronic beats from Cool White Montreal winters. The result: chill-out melodies and yet energized butterfly flights! With its sampled insect sounds, big band flair and percussion-heavy rhythms, OVO will let you truly experience the essence of the live show performance and spirit. The OVO CD is now available in music stores across the United States, on Itunes or at the online boutique at www.cirquedusoleil.com/boutique.
Credits: Composer: Berna Ceppas; Producers: Berna Ceppas & Alain Vinet; Recording Engineer: Rob Heany; Mastering: Harris Newman; Executive Producer: Jacques Méthé; Associate Producer: Mathieu-Gilles Lanciault. A full list of credits is available in the CD.
Come experience the music live under the blue-and-yellow Grand Chapiteau (big top). Critically acclaimed in New York, OVO will be playing for a limited engagement under the trademark blue-and-yellow Grand Chapiteau (Big Top) in Boston at the Fan Pier & Pier 4, on Boston's New Waterfront. Tickets are now available at www.cirquedusoleil.com/ovo or at 1-800-450-1480.
