Cape Rep Theatre presents FOOTLIGHT FANTASIES ROCKIN' AT THE REP

Cape Rep Theatre announces FOOTLIGHT FANTASIES ROCKIN' AT THE REP, a benefit for Cape Rep created by Melissa Becker and Susan Wasson, directed by Melissa Becker; April 5 through 8; Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7 pm and Sunday at 4 pm. Jimmy Fallon made it popular, it spun off into the hit television show "Lip Sync Battles," but Melissa Becker and Susan Wasson did it first 17 years ago; they are the true queens of the lip sync and have put their talents and humor into a remarkable fundraising effort since 2001. They started in Provincetown, raising money for several non-profits including the Animal Shelter; they moved to Cape Rep and over the years and through 7 different productions, have raised more than $50,000 for the theater. And they're back with the newest iteration, Footlight Fantasies Rockin' at the Rep, a show that's sure to shake the rafters and bring the house down.

A guaranteed evening of fun, Footlight Fantasies Rockin' at the Rep brings together Cape Rep talent with newcomers to the stage; you might even see some of your friends and neighbors performing! The evening is filled with great music, fantastic costumes and lots of laughter. Known for its generosity of spirit, it is a terrific fundraiser for Cape Rep, as audience members throw money at the stage to egg on the performers. Your ticket price includes admission and light eats and you can also enjoy the cash bar.

The cast includes Cape Rep Company members Melissa Becker, Art Devine, Jessica Georges, Liz Liuzzi, and emcee Tom Wolfson; Trish LaRose of last season's Men On Boats and A New Brain is delighted to be making her Footlight Fantasies debut. Returning Footlight Fantasies performers include Barbara Bradley, Jayne Clark, Lucy Elmer, Kai Georges, Dawn Lee Laub, Marcus Liuzzi, Joan Sutton, Bob Tucker, Sally Tucker, Lauren Wall, Susan Wasson and Nan Watts. The production team includes lighting design by Susan Nicholson with costumes by Susan Wasson and the cast. Barbara Ehle and Melissa Becker choreograph.

Cape Cod Repertory Theatre Company, Inc. is a 501c3 organization, founded in 1986 as a theater company dedicated to creativity and professionalism. On seven acres of land in Nickerson State Park in Brewster, Massachusetts, Cape Rep Theatre is the steward of the beautiful land and historic buildings that are home to the company's three theaters, including the only outdoor theater on Cape Cod.
