Cape Rep Theatre Presents The Beauty Queen of Leenane

Cape Rep Theatre is pleased to announce the 2011 Season- The indoor theatre opens on May 5 with Martin McDonagh's riveting Tony Winning Best Play The Beauty Queen of Leenane. Victoria E. Flores directs. Performances will continue through June 5.

Opening June 23 and running through July 16 is Annie Baker's Off Broadway comedy hit Circle Mirror Transformation directed by William Roudebush.

The regional premiere of the Broadway musical comedy Xanadu rolls in on July 28 and runs through August 27. This hilarious musical smash has music and lyrics by John Farrar and Jeff Lynne and book by Douglas Carter Beane and will be directed by Dani Davis.

Maura Hanlon's ghost story Good Bye Mary Rose will receive it's World Premiere on September 15 and will receive a 5 week run through October 16.

The season will conclude with a musical to be announced shortly.

In addition to full mainstage productions, Cape Rep is pleased to announce a series of musical events. On May 29 the smash hit musical revue Mama and Her Boys created by Ethan Paulini, Christopher Sidoli and Wendy Watson will play the indoor theatre for 3 performances only. The original show Trish LaRose is Bulletproof will run July 10-13. Columbus day weekend will feature Sarcastic, Sentimental Bitchy and Sweet: The Words and Music of Noel Coward, October 8-9, presented in association with The Fugitive Kind.

On June 28th, Cape Cod's only outdoor theatre opens with the annual favorite, Mary Wilson's Pitter Patter Puppets. Performances continue every Tuesday until August 30.
Running in rep will be the musical Click Clack Moo: Cows That Type, Wednesday and Thursday, June 29-September 1.

Cape Rep will also present the 17th annual Broadway Musical Dinner Revue at the Old Sea Pines Inn. Performances run June 19-September 4. Labor Day will welcome the popular benefit musical revue All Our Best, September 2-3. Both events will be directed by Scott Storr.

Now in it's 26th season, Cape Rep is a professional theatre in Brewster, MA. Located on the grounds of Nickerson State Park, Cape Rep is home to 3 theatres, the intimate 137 seat indoor theatre, Cape Cod's only outdoor theatre and the 45 seat Community Room in the newly renovated Cape House.

Tickets are currently only available to groups and as part of subscription series. Individual tickets will go on sale in mid-April. Full cast, creative and ticketing information will be announced shortly.
