In 2008, two dear friends celebrated their 60th birthdays. One went on a silent retreat for three weeks and wrote poetry. The other got a personal trainer, cosmetic dentistry, Botox, Juvaderm, and laser treatments. Using one of the poems, Hags and Crones as their inspiration and with the intention of empowering older women; the writers based the script on real stories of Cape women ages 60-95. The characters are captivating, their stories are real, and the takeaway is powerful. The score is uplifting and memorable. "You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll scream out loud!'
