Based on the 1972 "Match of the Century" between Bobby Fischer and Boris Spassky, CHESS details the trials of two champions and one female assistant who become pawns wrapped up in political plots, competitive gamesmanship, and romantic rivalries. Follow the cast from Bangkok to Budapest as players, lovers, politicians, and spies manipulate and are manipulated to the pulse of a monumental rock score by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus of ABBA.

Help us celebrate The Longwood Players' 15th season with $15 tickets for the Thursday performance.

CHESS features James Aitchison, Chelsea Ashton, Christopher Benoit, Michael Corrigan, Kevin Hanley, Susan Johnston, Athan Mantalos, Stephanie Masline, Madeline McCord, Aaron Moronez, James Neufeld, Nicole O'Keeffe, Susan Rubin, Renée Saindon, Anni Satinover, Rachel Savage, Jamie Wielgus, Eliza Xenakis, and Matthew Zahnzinger. The show is directed by Kaitlyn Chantry, the IRNE-nominated director of The Secret Garden, The Importance of Being Earnest, and She Loves Me.
