Boston's Unscripted Musical Project to Return to Davis Square Theatre for Monthly Performances

By: Mar. 17, 2016

Boston's Unscripted Musical Project (B.U.M.P.) is returning for a run of monthly shows at The Davis Square Theatre after a successful solo show back in February. Fresh from their two-year residency at the Boston Button Factory in Fort Point, B.U.M.P. is now branching out to other areas in the Boston metro area.

B.U.M.P. performs a unique and completely improvised, Broadway-style musical with a full house band; all of the dialogue, music, lyrics and choreography are made up on the spot. Currently there is nothing like it in Boston. Before the show begins, an audience member shouts out a show title and the cast takes it from there. Past show titles have included Superman's Underpants, Game of Toilets, Lindsey Lohan in Paris, and Pastrami in the Park to just name a few but no two shows have ever been the same.

"We're so excited to return to The Davis Square Theatre after so many years! We just completed a successful two year run at the Button Factory in the Seaport and while we're sad to say goodbye to the Button Factory, we know The Davis Square Theatre is the perfect venue for our show and a more convenient location for most audience members. Bonus: there's a bar."

Boston's Unscripted Musical Project begins a monthly run of shows at The Davis Square Theatre on select Fridays and Saturdays starting this March 18th and 19th at 10PM and through May with additional dates to be decided. The first ten tickets to every show are free-details can be found on B.U.M.P.'s website and social media channels.
