Boston Public Works Theater Company must regretfully announce that tonight's performance of FROM THE DEEP has been canceled due to the illness of an actor.

If you have purchased tickets to tonight's performance, you will be refunded the amount you paid for the ticket. Call the Boston Center for the Arts box office directly to receive your refund: 617-933-8600.

The company wrote in a statement: "We regret to make this decision. Unfortunately the play - which is a two-person drama that places extreme demands on the actors - would be impossible to perform without the presence of both on stage. We want to ensure that audiences receive the full value for their tickets and will reschedule when both actors are healthy and ready to take the stage by storm."

The next performance of the show, Wednesday night at 7:30 pm, will go forward as planned. Look for an announcement in the next few days about re-scheduling the pay-what-you-can performance for the show.
