Boston Parent Artists Gather For Theatre Initiatives, Community Image

The Boston arm of Parent Artist Advocacy League for the Performing Arts (PAAL) has planned a welcoming social potluck on Sunday, March 4th, as well as an upcoming calendar of events for all parent theatre artists in the area that include creative and administrative in freelance or employed positions and their families. As part of a national effort to create community and develop supportive relationships for parents in the theatre, PAAL Co-Chief representatives Tareena Wimbish and Lila Rose Kaplan extend the invitation to the potluck as the beginning of a supportive and resourceful initiative for parent theatre artists:

"We're excited to create a space to share resources, share survival stories and be together on this wild ride. Join other parent-artists for a potluck brunch thrown by the Parent-Artist Advocacy League (PAAL) and hosted by the Office of the Arts at Emerson College."

The details of the event to met the Boston parent artist advocates for the free potluck brunch are:

Date: Sunday 3/4 from 10am-12pm Feel free to come late or leave early.

Place: Emerson Conference Room, Second Floor, 10 Park Plaza, Boston, MA 02116. The event will take place in the Emerson offices on the second floor of the State Transportation Building, above the City Place food court. The nearest T stops are Boylston, Chinatown, and Park Street. $10 parking vouchers for the 660 Washington St. garage will be available as well.

Food: Please bring something yummy to share

Children: Please bring your little person or your little people. Bring them even if they're big. Or come just you.
