Jasper's the friend you first came "Out" to. The first boy you kissed; the one who broke your heart. He's the brother you always admired, protected, cherished. He was there for you when it seems like the world was falling apart.

And now he's gone.

Jasper Kelly, a gay man in his late twenties has died. Morgan has decided to throw her brother's memorial service on the same night as her daughter Lucy's birthday party hoping to fill everyone with a sense of happiness. Lucy thinks this is a crummy idea seeing as everyone at the party is stuck between their memories of Jasper and a future without him. As the night passes Jasper's friends and family grapple with the ever-changing landscape of AIDS, their own personal and sexual identities, and their understanding of a friend gone.
