Barbara Cook Replaces NIGHT MUSIC-Bound Stritch for Mahaiwe Concert, 8/15

Tony Award-winner Barbara Cook, currently starring in Broadway's SONDHEIM ON SONDEHIM, will take the Mahaiwe stage on Sunday, August 15 at 7PM. Elaine Stritch was previously announced to perform, but has postponed her concert to take part in Broadway's A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC revival with Bernadette Peters. Patrons who already have tickets to see Elaine Stritch may choose to see Barbara Cook or request a refund at the box office at 413-528-0100.

Barbara Cook made her Broadway debut in FLAHOOLEY in 1951. Since then, she has originated roles in many Broadway musicals, including PLAIN AND FANCY, CANDIDE, THE MUSIC MAN, SHE LOVES ME, THE GAY LIFE, SOMETHING MORE!, and THE GRASS HARP. She is also known for her solo career, creating acts such as 'Barbara Cook Sings Mostly Sondheim,' 'Strictly Gershwin,' and 'Barbara Cook's Broadway.' She is currently appearing on Broadway in SONDHEIM ON SONDHEIM, for which she was nominated for a Tony Award.
