BECKY'S NEW CAR Opens Today at The Lyric Stage

The Lyric Stage Company of Boston presents BECKY'S NEW CAR, running November 29 - December 22, 2013 with press opening, today, December 1, 3pm. Becky's New Car is written by Steven Dietz and will be irected by Larry Coen.

Becky's life isn't exactly unhappy - but from her desk at a car dealership she can't help but wonder what else is out there. And then she finds out. When a wealthy suitor presumes she is a widow, she finds herself leading a double life that quickly accelerates out of her control. This clever and witty new comedy takes us on one woman's unexpected, hilarious, and ultimately moving escape from the midlife doldrums.

The show runs November 29 - December 22, 2013, playing Wednesdays, Thursdays - 7:30pm; Wednesday matinees - 2pm, December 4 & 18; Fridays - 8pm; Saturdays - 3pm & 8pm; and Sundays - 3pm. Post-show Q&A with the artists: Sundays, December 1 & 15 after 3pm performance. Press opening: Sunday, December 1, 3:00pm. VIP opening: Wednesday, December 4, 7:30pm (post-show reception with the artists at Da Vinci restaurant - open to all ticket holders.)
