Opening to sold-out runs in 2013, An Iliad by Lisa Peterson and Denis O'Hare returns to Cotuit Center for the Arts for a final engagement. Based on Homer's The Iliad translated by Robert Fagles and starring Kevin Quill, the production will run May 4-21, 2017 at Cotuit Center for the Arts - In The Black Box Theatre (4404 Falmouth Rd, Cotuit, MA). Performances play Thursday-Saturday at 7:30pm, Sunday at 2:00pm. Tickets $18, $15 for members.

An Iliad is a modern retelling of Homer's classic. Poetry and humor, the ancient tale of the Trojan War and the modern world collide in this captivating theatrical experience. Kevin Quill plays the lone figure onstage, fated to tell this story throughout history. After four years of touring theatres and schools, this production now features fresh staging, a newly renovated Black Box theatre, and a premiere of Drama Desk Winner Mark Bennett's original music that underscores all 100 action-packed minutes.

Performances run May 4-21, Thursday-Saturday 7:30, Sunday 2:00pm. Single tickets are $18, $15 for members. Purchase: online at cotuitcenterforthearts.org; by phone at 508 428 0669; or in person at Cotuit Center for the Arts, 4404 Falmouth Rd, Cotuit, MA.
