TARZAN Stage Musical Coming to Christian Youth Theater in North Idaho November 2013
Christian Youth Theater-North Idaho (CYT-North Idaho) is bringing Tarzan, the Stage Musical, to the S.A. Kroc Theater, November 1-10, 2013. Seventy eight local children currently taking CYT-NI's theater arts fall classes, are singing, dancing and "swinging" in rehearsals in order to produce this family fun show for their community Based on Edgar Rice Burrough's Tarzan of the Apes and the smash-hit 1999 Disney animated film, Tarzan tells the story of an infant boy orphaned on the shores of West Africa. Taken in and raised by a tribe of gorillas, the young boy strives for acceptance by his ape father while grappling with his uniqueness. When a human expedition enters their territory, Tarzan - now a man - encounters strangers like himself for the first time.
The show became available for production through Music Theatre International in 2012. It features music and lyrics by pop icon Phil Collins, including the Grammy and Oscar winning song, "You'll Be in My Heart." Filled with beautiful choreography and bursting with African jungle adventure, this show has been called "one of the most daring stage musicals of our era." CYT-NI is excited to bring their production of Tarzan to North Idaho.

Nov 1, 2, 8, and 9 at 7 p.m.
Nov 2, 9 and 10 at 3 p.m.
Nov 3 at 1 & 4 p.m.
Nov 2 at 3 p.m. is a Family Discount Matinee (all tickets $8)
Nov 3 at 1 p.m. is a Special Needs Performance
