Boise's Four Sister Arts Orgs Announce First Annual ARTS CRAWL With

Four of Boise's premier arts organizations are excited to announce Boise's First Annual Arts Crawl, presented by Ballet Idaho, BCT, The Phil and Opera Idaho. It is a first-of-its kind collaboration between the four sister arts organizations, where audiences will get a chance to experience a short performance from each organization.

Doors will open at 6 pm at the Esther Simplot Performing Arts Academy at 516 S 9th Street, in the Boise Philharmonic Reception Room, with wine, beer and heavy hors d'oeuvres. The limited number of attendees will be split into four different groups, and each group will walk to one venue at 7pm. The first performances will begin at 7:15 and will last approximately fifteen minutes. Patrons at each venue will then walk to the next space until they have seen all four arts media. Patrons will have an opportunity to gather again for post-performance conversations back in the reception room.

Collectively, the four professional arts organizations have contributed to the arts and culture richness in Boise for over four decades, which not only includes thousands of performances for their patrons but thousands of students reached through their educational programs.

"We are all situated in this beautiful, historic downtown setting and I wanted to find a way to bring all the art forms and some of their respective patrons together for an evening. I sent an email to the other Artistic and Executive Directors and the ball started rolling from there," explained Benjamin Burdick, Managing Director of Boise Contemporary Theater.

"We are so thrilled to be collaborating with the other stellar arts organizations and making use of the fact we are all neighbors in BoDo. This part of the city has really come to life since I first visited Boise 10 years ago, and this event makes so much sense," said Garrett Anderson, Artistic Director of Ballet Idaho.

Liberty Klautsch, Marketing Director of Ballet Idaho added, "I have no doubt that the Arts Crawl will continue to grow. Hopefully next year we can expand to include even more arts organizations."

Tickets will be limited to 200 total participants, split up into four groups of fifty people. Each group will begin in a different venue and see a unique presentation from each arts organization. Tickets cost $25 and all proceeds from the evening will benefit the non-profit organization C.A.T.C.H. which helps to rapidly re-house families with children, who are currently experiencing homelessness
