Boise Contemporary Theater will present Alejandro Escovedo and Peter Buck in concert at 7:30pm Wednesday, November 12th. In one night we will have two legends on the BCT stage.
Alejandro Escovedo was part of San Francisco's punk scene in the 1970's as the guitarist with the Nuns and his band Rank & File merged punk and country in the 1980's. As a solo artist, his work is raw, honest and hits close to the bone. Peter Buck (co-founder and lead guitarist of R.E.M.) makes use of the "grit and grime in his bizarre voice...(and)....enlarges his musical palette, not just writing lowdown blues-pop numbers that sound like coveres but also driving the Ramones to the beach....and chasing two-headed dogs with Roky Erickson..." --Pitchfork
Tickets are $30 (+$3 processing fee) and go on sale at 11am on Monday, September 29 via BCTheater.org and the BCT Box Office at 331-9224 x205.
