College Acceptances yet?- Page 4

I got into NYU, but I can’t afford to go. I don’t know why I did this to myself; I guess I thought that if I had the acceptance letter in my hands that the money would magically appear. Luckily I’m technically only in my junior year (I’m a home schooled student with a GED) so I’m planning to take courses at the local state university and work work work. I’ve got a couple of years yet before I can be considered a non-educated bum.

I would like to think so, but I don't think any amount of will is going to get me that much money.

I am looking into student loans/grants, but I haven't found anything yet that I am eligible for. At this point I don’t even have the money to buy a plane ticket to New York, so I would have to take out enough to cover everything. That is next to impossible even if you are the perfect candidate.

I'm at a disadvantage because I'm under 18, my parents still owe money for their student loans, and our income itself is not that low (it just goes v. v. fast due to certain circumstances.)

I’m going to have to work until I build up enough money to begin paying, or until I turn eighteen and I can have someone besides my parents co-sign a loan. I will work this out some kind of way, but it just isn’t going to happen right now.
