"Chicago is it's own incredible theater town right there smack down in the middle of the heartland. What a great city! I can see why Oprah likes to live there!" - Dee Hoty :-D
thats great! despite what others are saying about their perdictios that it will close i would love for it to stay open so it can keep moving up the list of longest running shows!! i love this show
Though scattered and divided we are still its heart...AIDA SEPTEMBER 5th, 2004...one more longing backward glance...
I AM NOW "TGIF!"
Seeing it in April...if it is still open. I really do not want RENT to be my first Broadway show, but it is gonna have to be. Have seen it twice on tour.
um, why wouldn't it be open in April? the shows not going anywhere! =) And why would you not want it to be your first Broadway show? You'll have a great time!!!
If you don't want it to be your first Broadway show, and would rather a newer show be your first, then why aren't you seeing a newer show? It's not like it's impossible to get tickets for other shows. Go see something else!
Way to go, RENT !!!! I love the music and I adored the show !!! Hope it is open for many many years to come. It still is one of the most original, energetic and groundbreaking productions on Broadway !!!
I'm taking my friend to Rent in June. She has never seen it, but has heard the music. We always sing "I'll Cover You" together. I cannot wait to sit next to her and have her cry like a baby on my shoulder. It will be great.
I might go next week for the umpteenth time. There have been a lot of recent cast changes in the past few weeks. Most of them are good. At least, so I hear.

I'm exciting to see Danielle Lee Greaves as Joanne and Kristen Lee Kelly as Mark's Mom. Plus, I LOVE Catrice's "Seasons of Love" solo, it's the closest to Maia Wilson's you can get, and to me, Maia is perfection. But I think I'm going to wait until Joshua Kobak is back in the cast. His Mr. Grey is the best there is.
