Highly doubtful. The music is already out there and there's no need to redo an already perfect album. Sufjan probably won't allow it anyway.

I mean, we have albums for American Idiot and for any number of jukebox shows, none of which surpass the original artists. I don't think a cast album would be out of the question here.

If I had to guess, I'd imagine they're intending on doing a recording assuming that the show sells well upon opening. I could easily see this going un-recorded if the show were to flop (which I just don't see happening)

just the fact that Sufjan has little involvement in it, plus I still see it more as a dance piece rather than a real musical.
hey if they end up with a cast recording, I'd be very surprised.
