I'm just curious if there have been any replacement cast samplers lately for any shows.  The last one I remember was H2$ with Nick Jonas.  I wish they would do it more often.  I know it's cost prohibitive, but it still would be nice to have some alternative cast numbers.  Especially shows with high profile lead changes.  Would have been cool to have something with Betty Buckley in Hello Dolly or Laura Benanti in My Fair Lady.

Jane Lynch recorded "Little Girls" and "Easy Street" and they were included as bonus tracks on the ANNIE album. But I think that's the most recent. Wish we could have had even b-roll of Bernadette (and Donna) in H,D!

The replacement cast recording of SPIDER WOMAN (with Vanessa Williams, Brian Stokes Mitchell, and Howard McGillin) is far superior to the OBC, just from a music perspective.

Annie Get Your Gun with Reba recorded a few songs.

Also, Grease and Wonderful town was fully recorded and rereleased with Brooke Shields

Actually no, just Brooke’s tracks were recorded on both shows and placed into the existing recordings.

I believe there are new singers on each album in addition to Brooke Shields. Jennifer Hope Wills for Wonderful Town and some additional ensemble members for the 1995 Grease album interestingly including Sherie Rene Scott who doesn’t appear on the 1994 recording with Rosie O'Donnell.
