Jason Robert Brown is to stage a concert at the West End's Apollo Theatre on Sunday, 26th August 2012 in aid of National Youth Music Theatre:

As previously announced, Brown is to direct NYMT for the West End premiere of his musical "13" which is also being presented at the Apollo Theatre. The production will run from Wednesday, 22nd August to Saturday, 25th August 2012 and marks the first West End residency of the company since their 1998 production of "Bugsy Malone" at the Queen’s Theatre. "13" premiered in 2007 at the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles, California before moving to Broadway’s Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre in 2008:

NYMT will also present JRB's musical revue "Songs for a New World" at London's Bridewell Theatre between Tuesday, 31st July and Saturday, 4th August 2012. JRB’s first professionally produced show, “Songs for a New World” made its debut at WPA Theater in New York City in 1995, directed by Daisy Prince (the daughter of Hal Prince).
