"Long shot, but maybe he was approached for the movie and was checking out the show."

Oh god no.

Favorite Place to eat before or After a Broadway Show  Jul 12 2010, 02:37:23 PM
Anything on 9th Avenue! I second whoever said Empanada Mama. And I love Nizza (next to 5 napkin) for the food, drinks and (broadway) stargazing. Zigolinis Pizza Bar just opened up (9th btwn 46th & 47th) and it is amazing!
Brantley loves it too...  May 4 2009, 12:23:16 PM
A very useful blog that sums up all the reviews. So happy to read these and I can't wait to see it next week!

re: Anyone Listening to the SHREK Cast Recording?  Mar 25 2009, 12:03:07 PM
I don't think cardboard cases are necessarily the cheap route. I bet FMills is correct, and they decided to go for the 'greener' option. (All the cheap CDs that are sold at Walmart etc. are always in plastic cases.) Does the packaging feel flimsy?
re: New Next To Normal Artwork?  Mar 11 2009, 11:15:45 AM
I really like the new artwork! Actually I liked the arena artwork as well - though it always made me think "dark comedy" for some reason. The new art is very Hitchcockian which I think fits oddly enough...
re: Anyone else so frustrated by Footlight Records?  Mar 2 2009, 04:27:21 PM
Have you tried e-mailing them? Or just calling? If it is just one person, I'm sure they'd get back to you. From the website: Phone & Fax: 888-627-3993 E-Mail: info@footlight.com.

Also it says something about being purchased by Bruce Yeko... it is possible they lost your order in the process of being bought etc. I'd just give him a call if I were you.

re: Very touching Sherie Rene Scott Video  Jan 22 2009, 12:31:56 PM
...and another Elton John concert with Sherie as Sarah Palin. hahaha! Hilarious.

(Can you tell that I am trolling the inter-web instead of studying? That's right, I replied to my own message. Sad.)

Very touching Sherie Rene Scott Video  Jan 22 2009, 10:42:30 AM
She tells a great story about her cousin at an Elton John benefit. Really quite sweet :)
re: Patti LuPone to Appear on NBC's 30 Rock  Jan 21 2009, 05:59:12 PM
Oh my god. That is going to be awesome! I hope she and Elaine Stritch battle it out some how.

Hahaha

re: The offical Passing Strange Love Thread................  Apr 1 2008, 11:08:02 AM
Curious: I think it is something along the lines of "You wake up one day and realize that your entire adult life is based upon the decisions of a teenager... who was stoned"

not verbatim, but maybe closer?

re: BC/EFA Spring Donations  Mar 27 2008, 05:45:44 PM
I saw Passing Strange last week and In the Heights this week- they were both collecting. And they said that they do take Credit Cards. So I think maybe you can go up to the merchandise desk and use your card there? Gypsy was not collecting last night (still in previews).

On a side note, after seeing three shows in two weeks - I am poor! (but richer from the experience obvi : )

re: The offical Passing Strange Love Thread................  Mar 27 2008, 05:36:49 PM
So it looks like Passing Strange is going to be recorded soon!

Hurray! I wonder if Stew will take out the lines in the middle of the songs to make it like a more traditional rock CD with each track its own contained song. Or maybe it will be recorded live... with narrative intact?

I'm going to be there tonight as well : ) I haven't seen it yet and I am soooo excited!

re: One-man Comedy Songs??  Mar 7 2008, 11:41:17 AM
Look up Rob Paravonian's Pachelbel Rant. It is more of a comedy routine than a song, but he does sing. And play guitar. It is about how he hates the cello part for Pachelbel's Canon in D and how he can't get away from the song (err chord progression really). Hilarious, actually. Not that you would want to copy his routine, but it might give you some ideas!

re: Spring Awakening Wins Grammy for Best Musical Show Album  Feb 12 2008, 03:27:01 PM
CatsNY and Bobby-

I completely agree w/ you about the WSS CD. I got it as a gift and almost threw it out... ugh. How did this happen? Anyway, I didn't like it at all. So sad. I would have loved to see Bubbly Black Girl up there instead (even though I know all the Grammy voters would have said: "what's that?") It is such a sweet little disc!

Ooh! I'm definitely excited for Make Me A Song. Amazing audition songs... I hope someone puts out the sheet music.
