Written by Shern Ann Phillips (maiden moniker S. Ann Johnson), featuring select choreography by Pytron Parker "The XX Chromosome Genome Project" (aka Double X for short), is a multicultural choreopoem - a stage play featuring choreography and poetry - that celebrates the diversity of seven women. Its premise: 99.9 percent of our genetic structure is the same. The rest is just flavor. Inspired by Ntozake Shanges choreopoem for colored girls who have considered suicide when the rainbow is enuf, where women are identified by the colors they adorn, Double X characters are identified by their flavor.Amy Aguilar as CaramelMarita McKee as ChocolateThelma R.
