Bozar is Bringing NEXT TO NORMAL to Belgium 12/26/18 to 1/6/19
NEXT TO NORMAL is coming this holiday season to Belgium, running from December 26th 2018 to January 6th 2019.
NEXT TO NORMAL is considered by many to be one of the standout musicals of the last decade, as West Side Story, Hair and Rent once were. The revolutionary musical by Tom Kitt (music) and Brian Yorkey (lyrics) has picked up the prestigious Pulitzer Prize and three Tony Awards, including Best Musical. The show is powerful and endearing. It's a convincing portrayal of a family trying to come to terms with a painful situation which is 'not quite normal' but understandable. The type of show we'll never forget.
A mother and father, brother and sister. A typical American family. Dad's an architect while Mum does the cooking and the cereal for her two bright, well-behaved and spiritual teenagers. And yet their lives are anything but normal. NEXT TO NORMAL brings all spectators face to face with the heart and soul of each of the characters, telling their family's story with love, sympathy and humanity. NEXT TO NORMAL speaks of the hope of self-acceptance, even in the absence of any real normality.?
