The Beth Tfiloh Community Theatre Presents SWEENEY TODD After being nominated for seven Maryland Theatre Guide Reader's Choice Awards, the Beth Tfiloh Community Theatre (BTCT) celebrates their 10th season with the Tony Award-winning musical, Sweeney Todd, on August 19th at 2:00pm, and August 21st and 22nd at 7:00 pm. All performances will take place in the Mintzes Theatre at the H. Morton Rosen Arts Center, located at Beth Tfiloh Dahan Community School at 3300 Old Court Road in Pikesville, Maryland.

Sweeney Todd tells the tale of the diabolical barber, who, on the road to revenge, meets Mrs. Lovett, a resourceful proprietress of a failing pie shop. Mrs. Lovett's luck sharply shifts when Todd's thirst for blood inspires the integration of an ingredient into her meat pies that has the people of London lining up for more. A thriller of a musical fill with wit, dark humor, and extraordinary music.

The production features regional actors Bryan Reid and Kerry Jungwirth, plus rising performers Ilyssa Rubin and Yehudit Varon. Award-winning director Diane Smith leads the journey, with musical direction by Chris Rose.

Join us for a maniacal night of theatre. Sweeney Todd runs 120 minutes with an intermission.This show is rated PG. Not appropriate for young children.
