THE COMEDY PIGS Return To Maryland Ensemble Theater 5/28, 6/4, 6/11
By: Gabrielle Sierra
Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET) is proud to present The Comedy Pigs and their all original side-splitting sketch and improv comedy for three straight Saturday night performances. Formed in 1992, the group has performed at national comedy festivals, been featured on Comedy Central, and have been guests at the National Pork Producers Convention. The current members of The Comedy Pigs: Tres Dillon, Paula Pitts, Anne Raugh, Thomas Scholtes and Laura Stark will be introducing three new Pigs to Frederick audiences during their upcoming MET performances.
The new Comedy Pigs are Courtney McLaughlin, Franky Orr and Jeff Schnorr. Jeff has worked for in the public school system for the past seven years, has lived in Carroll County for his entire life and is "stoked" to be apart of the Pigs. Franky Orr has been doing sketch shows with the Pigs for three years. "I'm really excited to be an official member and join them onstage with the improv portion of the shows. Everyone has been so helpful and supportive in my transition from "Actor Franky" to "Actor/Improvisor Franky!" I've learned so much already and I'm looking forward to growing even more as a comedic performer." Courtney McLaughlin first was introduced to the wide wonderful world of Improv at Hood College under the guidance of Joe Brady. "I auditioned for Pigs because I thought I'd get to be a farmhand, but this improv thing is okay I guess."Videos
