Maryland Ensemble Theatre Presents THE COMEDY PIGS

Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET) will present The Post Holiday, Pre Superbowl, Winter Season Kick off Sketch Show! by our resident sketch/improv troupe, The Comedy Pigs. This hilarious new show of sketches written by the Pigs contains songs, videos, and a touch of improv. Performances are on January 13th and 14th at 9PM.

The Comedy Pigs are Laura Stark, Anne Raugh, Courtney McLaughlin, Jeff Schnorr, Franky Russell, Thomas Schultes, and Tres Dilion. Throughout the last 19 seasons, the Comedy Pigs have written and performed over 200 sketches, including their parody music video "Weiner Dog", which caught the attention of Comedy Central. Sketches this January include Stonecold Creamery, Saving the Planet, Queer Eye for the Blind Guy, and Braveheart.

"This year's sketch collection has something for everyone," said Comedy Pig member Laura Stark. "From Disney villains for the kids, to a seminar on how to add more drama and excitement to your boring adult life. Better than anything anyone has seen in a long time, plus we'll make the 2nd half up just for you!"

Formed in 1992, the Comedy Pigs has performed at national comedy festivals and have been guests at the National Pork Producers Convention. The Comedy Pigs perform regularly at Maryland Ensemble Theatre in Frederick, MD, and tour the region. The Comedy Pigs current season is one of their best ever, not the best ever, but definitely one of the top five or ten best seasons in the Pigs hilarious history.
