Maryland Ensemble Theatre Presents READY, SET, ME! 3/26-4/23

Maryland Ensemble Theatre's (MET) family theatre, The Fun Company, is proud to present Ready, Set, Me!, a Free To Be You and Me for this generation full of song and dance that is perfect for children age 6 -12. Directed by The Fun Company's Artistic Director Julie Herber, Ready, Set, Me! runs from March 26 - April 23 on the MET stage. Ready, Set, Me! is a Fun Company world premiere that we are very excited to bring to our family audiences Through energetic song and dance young audiences will share our message that anything is possible if you believe in yourself. The shows director and The Fun Company Artistic Director Julie Herber said, "After reaching out to parents, teachers and children about issues they are dealing with we've found the perfect mixing bowl of entertainment. When thinking about creating a show that was the Free to Be You and ME of this generation I wanted to find a way to use theatre to inspire children and allow them to celebrate their lives. I think Ready, Set, Me! does this with a fast-paced inventive flair. The music and lyrics written by Meryl Sachs Cullom are just fantastic. Meryl wrote music for our production of Lucy Rose a few seasons back. She's captured the spirit of sending a message without being preachy with her fresh tunes. These are interspersed with imaginative skits and original poems written by local children." In Ready, Set, Me! Julie Herber directs a fantastic cast featuring Tim Eichelberger, Brandon Gray, Caitlyn Joy, JoAnn Lee and Allison Lepelletier.

The Fun Company is the family theatre branch of Maryland Ensemble Theatre. Artistic Director, Julie Herber has been working with young audiences for over 20 years, providing entertainment, education and support. The company seeks to provide high quality, affordable theatre for the whole family that is both educational and entertaining by presenting a yearly Family Theatre Series, an In School Productions outreach program and Fun Camp.

For over a decade, Maryland Ensemble Theatre has been producing thought-provoking theatre, fun family entertainment, artist residency programs for public schools, challenging classes and the side-splitting Comedy Pigs. The MET is an artistic leader in the region and at the forefront of the creation of Frederick's Theater District.
