Howard County Arts Council Welcomes Three New Members to Board of Directors

The Howard County Arts Council (HCAC) welcomes three community leaders to its Board of Directors. David Kay, Greg Lowe, and Linda Rochelle join a multitalented group led by Board President Julie Hughes Jenkins, Corporate Office Properties Trust.

In welcoming the new members, Jenkins said, "The Arts Council's stature as a model multi-purpose arts agency and advocate for the arts is due, in large part, to strong governance. As President of the Board, I look forward to working with the new and existing Board members to foster the arts and connect people with the arts. "

The new members bring a wealth of experience and expertise along with new perspectives to the Arts Council Board:

David Kay | M&T Bank

David Kay is a Vice President at M&T Bank, serving as a Relationship Manager in the Chesapeake Business Banking group. He manages a portfolio of business client relationships in the Howard County area. Prior to his current position, David has held title of Commercial Manager in the Ft. Meade/Odenton area. David has been with M&T for over 9 years.

Greg Lowe | Lowe Wealth Advisors

Greg Lowe is the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Lowe Wealth Advisors where he oversees the research and portfolio strategy development. Greg thrives on community involvement and has served on Howard County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and as well as the Board of Trustees for the Howard Hospital Foundation. He constantly seeks opportunities to empower the community with financial advice and has held a life-long interest in the arts.

Linda Rochelle | ADG Creative

Linda is a Creative Director with ADG Creative in Columbia, where she has worked for the past ten years since relocating from Fairfield County, Connecticut. There, she was a partner for a graphic design firm focusing on the commercial sector, while here in Maryland she has the honor of supporting federal mission work. She holds a degree in Visual Communications from the University of Delaware, where she also studied and worked abroad in England. While her passions lie with color and concept, she is also busy raising two artistically and musically gifted children.

The Arts Council's Board of Directors is a volunteer governing Board that is legally and fiscally responsible for the organization. The Board hires the Executive Director, makes strategic decisions, and sets policy to ensure programs and operations are consistent with the Arts Council's mission. The new Board members join the Arts Council at an exciting time with a new season of programming and the kick-off for the annual Celebration of the Arts in Howard County fundraising campaign just underway.
