Center Stage reintroduces their Community Classes this season with The Audition Room, a course on the art of acting and the business of casting taught by Center Stage Artistic Producer Susanna Gellert. The six-week course runs from October 17 to November 21 on Thursdays from 6-8:30 pm.

The Audition Room aims to give serious, aspiring actors the tools to excel in auditions, from headshots to resumes to presentation on stage. Susanna will help participants build confidence in their techniques and provide tips on how best to land roles in theater and film. Special guests for the course include actor Nathan Darrow from House of Cards, Stephanie Klapper of Stephanie Klapper Casting, and Dance & Bmore Artistic Director CJay Philip. Center Stage artists will also make appearances and provide valuable insight.

The Audition Room cost is $350 for six weeks of classes. Registration is available online at www.centerstage.org/education.

Community Classes at Center Stage are offered by the Community Programs and Education Department. Bringing in some of the most dynamic and skilled teaching artists in their respective fields, classes range from acting techniques and playwriting to international dance. Questions about The Audition Room or other Community Classes can be directed to education@centerstage.org or by calling 410.986.4050.
