Broadway vets Mitchell Jarvis and Wesley Taylor's critically-acclaimed "IT COULD BE WORSE," was a humble yet cherished web series amongst our community. After winning a slew of online indie awards and raising over 70K on Kickstarter to shoot a second season, the "awesomely addictive" dark comedy was acquired for cable television.The Washington Post said ICBW was "what Smash might have been…had it found a looser and sharper-witted footing."

The Last Ship, the new musical with music and lyrics by 16-time Grammy Award winner Sting, and book by Tony winner John Logan and Pulitzer Prize-winner Brian Yorkey, will begin previews on Broadway at the Neil Simon Theatre (250 W. 52 St.) on September 29 prior to opening night on October 26, 2014. The new production of Scott Organ's play PHOENIX, starring Emmy Award and Golden Globe nominee Julia Stiles and James Wirt, begins performances at the Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce Street) Monday, July 28. Presented by Nicholas Jabbour, PHOENIX will play a limited engagement through Saturday, August 23, and is produced by Poverty Row Entertainment, Rian Patrick Durham and Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, by special arrangement with The Cherry Lane Theatre. Today, we're featuring Brent Barrett, circa 1998. Barrett is mostly known for his work within American theatre. He has performed in musicals and in concerts with theatres, symphony orchestras, opera houses, and concert halls internationally. He starred in the original production of Maltby and Shire's hit Off-Broadway musical Closer Than Ever in 1989 and the 2001 West End revival of Cole Porter's Kiss Me, Kate. He has also appeared sporadically on television and in films.
