This October, Investigation Discovery (ID) celebrates the second year of its multi-platform public affairs campaign INSPIRE A DIFFERENCE to shed light on issues of crime and victim's rights. Now in its sophomore year, ID is bolstering its commitment to INSPIRE A DIFFERENCE by dedicating an entire day of ID's favorite series and specials that address social injustices such as domestic violence, social and civil rights, mental health, bullying and sexual assault.

Last night's episode outperformed everything else on television in this key demographic, including Sunday Night Football, by over 2.5 million adults 18-49. With time-shifted playback, the season five premiere should exceed 22 million viewers.

Starz announced today a season two pick up of the critically acclaimed slam dunk STARZ Original Series 'Survivor's Remorse' from executive producers Tom Werner, Maverick Carter, LeBron James, Mike O'Malley, Paul Wachter and Victor Levin. Production has begun on 'Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy,' an upcoming animated-television series for Disney XD, featuring the hugely popular characters introduced in the record-breaking Marvel Studios film of the same name. The announcement was made today by Jeph Loeb, Marvel's Head of Television, at New York Comic-Con. Produced by Marvel Television, the series stars Peter Quill as Star-Lord, the brash adventurer who, to save the universe from its greatest threats, joins forces with a quartet of disparate misfits – fan-favorite Rocket Raccoon, a tree-like humanoid named Groot, the enigmatic, expert fighter Gamora and the rough-edged warrior Drax the Destroyer. The series will premiere in 2015 on the Marvel Universe programming block on Disney XD.

Syfy's anticipated adventure thriller 12 Monkeys will make its series premiere on Friday, January 16 at 9pm ET/PT. Inspired by the classic blockbuster film, which commemorates its 20th anniversary next year, 12 Monkeys explores the provocative story of a time traveler from a decimated future in a high-stakes race against the clock. Utilizing a dangerous and untested method of time travel, he journeys from 2043 to the present day on a mission to locate and eradicate the source of a deadly plague that will all but annihilate the human race. The series is produced by Universal Cable Productions in association with Atlas Entertainment, producer of the original theatrical film.
