I often think about the traditions that my future students will do before, during, and after shows. Then, I reflect on the traditions I still carry with me that I used to do with my theatre friends while we were in shows together.

It's that time of year again....finals! Time for exams, essays, presentations, and reflections. As an education student, I frequently reflect on my growth as a future teacher and the lessons I have learned that I plan to apply in my classroom.

Why does theatre education matter? This is a question frequently raised by many people, particularly when considering whether a school theatre program should be shut down.

As the Ball State Department of Theatre and Dance prepares to transition into both a new performing arts center and a new class building, expected to be finished by next fall, our theatre community has to find temporary spaces to hold classes.
