Since the beginning of this Fall semester, Ia??ve been working on a particularly robust capstone. Like anyone else in my shoes, Ia??m feeling a little stressed!
The first month of school is over! Thata??s certainly something to celebrate regardless of what level of education youa??re in right now. Ita??s the little victories, isna??t it?
Now, what does this have to do with stress relief? Vacation was well-needed for the both of us, but what we needed most was to express ourselves through singing. Our musicals of choice? Mean Girls, Beetlejuice, Anastasia, Hadestown, Hamilton, Book of Mormon and, you guessed it, Wicked.
Everyone has likely heard about the musical The Book of Mormon at least once in their life.
As disappointed as I am knowing there likely wona??t be a play and my capstone in the Fall semester wona??t be in person, I would say my greatest disappointment was envisioning my lighting design class virtually.
The Redeye Theatre Project is something that's popular for anyone involved in performing around my campus.
If anyone reading this suffers from anxiety, I'm sure you're familiar with the rush, panic, and worry that you feel when it comes to a performance regardless of what part you take in the creation of it.
When I first decided to involve myself with the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg's Theatre Company I, like many others, had a set of expectations for what I would be doing there. Singing, acting, dancinga?? I was fully prepared to do, and see, it all!
