The Pasadena Playhouse presents the West Coast Premiere of CASA VALENTINA by four-time Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein, the iconic playwright of the Broadway hits Torch Song Trilogy, La Cage Aux Folles, Newsies and Kinky Boots. Better news - this means that digital #Ham4Ham is back, featuring surprise performances from the cast. After the company's appearance last week week on Capitol Hill, today's #Ham4Ham features Lin-Manuel Miranda and his fellow stars from HAMILTON doing a WEST WING-style 'walk and talk' scene at the White House. The sold-out audience at Broadway's Al Hirschfeld Theatre was dazzled Monday, March 21, 2016, by this year's stirring edition of BROADWAY BACKWARDS. The annual celebration, where men sing songs originally written for women and vice versa offering this audience the chance to see LGBT stories told through the great songs of musical theatre, set a new fundraising record. The evening raised an incredible $480,287 to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center in New York City. This winter, An American in Paris was lucky enough to be part of a Tennessee couple's love story. On December 12, 2015, community theater vet Justin McIntosh proposed to fellow thesp, his partner Nathan Smith, onstage at the Palace Theatre following the show. Smith (after saying yes, of course!) was serenaded, took photos with the cast and drank champagne in honor of the occasion. The Broadway show posted footage of the moment today, writing, 'From our love story to yours, congratulations!' Check it out below!

Earlier today, First Lady Michelle Obama welcomed the Broadway cast of HAMILTON to the White House to host a student workshop, Q&A, and a performance. And as if that weren't enough excitement for Capitol Hill, the musical's creator and star Lin-Manuel Miranda also took part in a freestyling challenge outside the White House, with help from President Barack Obama.

Kevin Sessums, the Curran's Editor-at-Large sat down with award-winning opera star Leah Crocetto for a special evening titled 'Leah Crocetto Talks Opera and Sings Jazz' on Thursday, February 4. Sessums discussed Crocetto's early years in the New York cabaret scene, her rise to fame in the opera world, and her deep connection to the San Francisco Opera. Crocetto, who recently opened the SFO's 2015 season with her electrifying performance in the title role of Luisa Miller and made her Metropolitan Opera debut as Liu in TURANDOT, performed three numbers throughout the evening.
