More than 20 Broadway performers were accompanied by a full band playing brand new, original orchestrations of the English singer's greatest songs. The concert is the fifth of the series; previously honored were Adele, Michael Jackson, Beyonce, and Stevie Wonder. Caruso represents all that is wrong with the industry. A character who feeds off the life and creativity of others in order to sustain himself, this archetype is found all throughout hip-hop. Caruso mentions some of his favorite 'jigs' with tongue and cheek verbal brutality, mentioning Chief Keef, Kanye West, and Wu-Tang Clan's Ol' Dirty Bastard. Of the latter Caruso expresses that ODB 'was my favorite Wu-Tang member cause he was a real jig.' Watch below!
