Sam Jury is a musical director and pianist based in Auckland New Zealand. He studied classical piano performance and conducting at the New Zealand School of Music and at the University of Auckland, gaining a Bachelor of Music with Honours. He currently works in a range of fields spanning musical theatre, opera, solo performance, accompaniment (vocal and instrumental), coaching and recording. He has a particular interest in new music and theatre and was formerly a member of the SMP Contemporary Music Ensemble in Wellington, a group dedicated to commissioning and performing new works with funding from Creative New Zealand. He is also an Associate of the Institute of Registered Music Teachers New Zealand.
