According to Variety.com, this year's Tony Awards could potentially make history in the Best New Musical category as being the first year in which four jukebox musicals are nominated for the award. The article cites American Idiot, Come Fly Away, Million Dollar Quartet, Fela!, and Everyday Rapture as the frontrunners for the category, all of which use preexisting music ranging from Sinatra to Green Day.

Betty Cuningham Gallery announces an exhibition of a survey of drawings by Rackstraw Downes. It will be the artist's third show and first drawings show at the gallery. Included in the exhibition will be approximately twenty works on paper selected from the past thirty years. Downes will be present for an opening reception on June 3.

According to contactmusic.com, stage and screen legend Liza Minnelli has confirmed that she will be appearing in Sex And The City 2, in addition to being on the film's soundtrack.
