The Country Music Association visited Chicago yesterday, Tuesday, July 24, with Illinois native Brett Eldredge and fellow songwriters Ross Copperman, Tom Douglas, Heather Morgan and Jordan Reynolds, joining the CMA Foundation and U.S. Bank to visit students at Chicago's Notes for Notes studio followed by a sold-out CMA Songwriters Series Presented by U.S. Bank performance at Joe's on Weed Street. 

Brooklyn-based Americana darlings The Brother Brothers have announced their debut album Some People I Know to be released October 19 on Compass Records. Billboard premiered the band's first offering today, saying 'The soulful folk on 'Frankie' reflects Moss' American ideals, built with tender country strings and swelling into the harmonic repetition of 'I don't care about money.'

Molly Burch returns with her sophomore album, First Flower - a walk-through her most intimate thoughts. Today, she's unveiled the album's lead single, the wistful, 'Wild', a song about the desire for self-acceptance. 'I wanted to write a song that made me feel at peace with my imperfections and celebrate others without putting them on pedestals' Burch explains.

HBO has confirmed a fresh array of thought-provoking documentaries for the second half of 2018, including: Susan Lacy's JANE FONDA IN FIVE ACTS, the intimate story of an icon; Nathaniel Kahn's THE PRICE OF EVERYTHING, an insider's look at today's money-driven art world; Kate Davis and David Heilbroner's SAY HER NAME: THE LIFE AND DEATH OF SANDRA BLAND about the tragic death of a young woman who was stopped for a routine traffic violation; and Rudy Valdez's Sundance award winner THE SENTENCE, a portrait of a family in crisis.

More artists have been announced to perform at the Chillin' on the Lucie music festival in Port St. Lucie, Fla., Oct. 3 - 7. Uncle Kracker has joined the roster, as well as Cassadee Pope, Parmalee, Josh Gracin, Clare Dunn, Kalie Shorr, Hudson Moore and Lewis Brice. Twang and Round, Radio Romance, Julia Cole, Honey County, County Wide and Libby Switzer are also set to perform. ESME & ROY, the first new animated series from the makers of “Sesame Street” in more than a decade, will debut in the U.S. on SATURDAY, AUG. 18 (9:30-10:00 a.m. ET/PT), it was announced today bySesame Workshop and HBO. The show follows a young girl, Esme, and her best monster friend, Roy, on their adventures as the best monster babysitters in Monsterdale. This morning in Nashville, during a live broadcast on SiriusXM'sBluegrass Junction, 15-time GRAMMY® winner Ricky Skaggswas formally announced as aninductee for the IBMA Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame Class of 2018. Along with Paul Williams, Tom T.Hall and the late Dixie Hall, Skaggs will be officially inducted onThursday, September 27 in Raleigh,NC at the International Bluegrass Music Awards.
