Fort Wayne Civic Theatre presents the 1983 musical LA CAGE AUX FOLLES, which is set to open on February 17th and run through March 4th.

Steep Theatre presents the world-premiere of Calamity West's new play, HINTER. The play was inspired by the Bavarian Hinterkaifeck murders, where six members of one household were brutally murdered in 1922. The case was never solved. HINTER delves into that mystery and attempts to piece together what may have really happened on that fateful night. HINTER opened on January 25th and will run through March 3rd.

THE FULL MONTY opened on January 26th and is set to run through February 25th at San Diego Musical Theatre. The musical comedy features Music and Lyrics by David Yazbek and Book by Terrence McNally, and is based off of the 1997 comedy film of the same name. THE FULL MONTY follows six men recently laid off from their jobs working at a Steel Mill. Desperate to earn some cash to help support their families, they note how much the women in their lives enjoy a Chippendales act, and how willing they are to give their money to them. Inspired, the guys decide to take it a step further: they'll do a strip-tease act, but they'll go THE FULL MONTY.

Virginia Stage Company presents PRIDE AND PREJUDICE, based on the 1813 novel by Jane Austen, and adapted for the stage by Joseph Hanreddy and J.R. Sullivan. PRIDE AND PREJUDICE opened January 17th and runs through February 4th.

Drury Lane Theatre presents Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT, opening January 25th and running through March 25th. The sung-through musical, based on the Coat of Many Colors story from the Book of Genesis, was first produced on Broadway in 1982. JOSEPH is notable for covering a variety of musical styles throughout its score.

The World-Premiere of SOVEREIGNTY opened January 12th and runs through February 18th at Arena Stage as part of the Women's Voices Theater Festival. Mary Kathryn Nagle's play, which features flashbacks spanning to the 1830s, follows a modern-day Native American woman, trying to use her powers as a lawyer to restore rights to the Cherokee Nation. SOVEREIGNTY explores anger over injustice, and how long it takes things to reach a boiling point.

Seven Days, Vermont's Independent Voice, reports that Vermont Stage will host the world premiere of Stephen Spotswood's new play DOUBLEWIDE, running January 24th - February 11th. DOUBLEWIDE has been picked up by the National New Play Network, an organization that aims to help new plays gain visibility by promising a given play that their work will be picked up by at least three participating theaters in the span of the year. DOUBLEWIDE will be produced first in Vermont, before later being staged by theaters in Florida and Michigan.

Riverside Theatre presents Rupert Holmes' 1985 musical THE MYSTERY OF EDWIN DROOD, which opened January 16th and runs through February 4th!

NC Theatre presents A.R. Gurney's 1988 play LOVE LETTERS, running January 12th-21st. LOVE LETTERS follows two childhood friends, Melissa and Andy, who stay in contact over fifty years of their lives by writing letters, effectively becoming pen-pals. As Melissa and Andy share the highs and lows of their lives with one another, LOVE LETTERS becomes a story of companionship, friendship, and love.

SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE, based on the Academy-Award winning film of the same name, opened at Asolo Rep on January 11th and runs through March 28th. Directed by Rachel Rockwell, SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE imagines the life of a young William Shakespeare, a writer struggling to come up with an idea for his next play. Enter Viola, a young woman who begins as his admirer and ends up as his muse.

Stage Left Theatre presents Robert O'Hara's INSURRECTION: HOLDING HISTORY. Directed by Wardell Julius Clark, INSURRECTION: HOLDING HISTORY runs January 11th through February 11th.

Playwright Nassim Soleimanpour is bringing his original show to the 2018 Perth Festival. This semi-autobiographical show, set to run February 20th-25th, has a unique twist. At each performance, he will invite a different actor to read the previously sealed-up script for the first time in front of the audience, ensuring that no two performances will ever be alike.

Playhouse on Park presents Robert Harling's touching comedy STEEL MAGNOLIAS. Directed by Susan Haefner, STEEL MAGNOLIAS follows six women in one beauty parlor, and chronicles the joy and pain that life throws their way.

Epic Theatre Company presents Lillian Hellman's 1939 classic THE LITTLE FOXES, running January 12th-27th. This turn-of-the-century drama, directed by Kate Lester, takes a hard look at wealth, and the lengths one family will go to keep it.

New Hampshire Theatre Project presents the female version of Neil Simon's classic THE ODD COUPLE. Directed by Robin Fowler, this adaptation of THE ODD COUPLE was written by Simon twenty years after the original, re-imagining the beloved characters of Felix and Oscar as Florence and Olive, respectively. This wacky comedy opened January 12th and runs through the 28th.

INSURRECTION: HOLDING HISTORY, directed by Wardell Julius Clark, opened at Stage Left Theatre on January 11th and runs through February 11th. The play, written by Robert O'Hara, tells the story of a Ron, a young African-American man who trying to complete his grad school thesis on Nat Turner's Slave Rebellion. Aided by his great-great grandfather, he travels 189 years back in time to meet Nat in person. This journey forces Ron to confront his identity, his sexuality, and his family history.

The World Premiere of Todd Taylor's FLAMINGO & DECATUR opened January 10th and runs through February 18th. The play, presented by Block Street Theatre Company at Theater Wit, follows two friends who decide the best way to save money is to live in one of the Las Vegas houses left empty after the 2008 housing crash.
