THE 70TH ANNUAL TONY AWARDS, aired live from the Beacon Theatre, last night Sunday, June 12 on the CBS Television Network. After the ceremony is when the real fun started though, as most of the evening's celebrity guests headed to the after parties!

Could there have been a happier bunch last night than the cast and creative team of HAMILTON? The show took home a whopping eleven Tony Awards, giving the company plenty to celebrate after the festivities concluded at the Beacon Theatre. Joseph Macchia, producer of the award-winning fundraising series, Cabaret Cares, just presented an event for Help Is On The Way Today. Broadway dynamo, Doreen Montalvo, hosted the cast of the Broadway smash, On Your Feet! - the new Broadway musical about Gloria and Emilio Estefan, playing at The Marquis. Last night was the first of two nights of the 25th anniversary concert of The Secret Garden at Lincoln Center and by all reports the star-filled concert practically blew the roof off of the building. The concert performances of the TONY Award-winning musical featured a stunning Broadway and television cast, creative team, the New York City Chamber Orchestra, and a grand 200-voice chorus from across the United States. Winter Storm Jonas swept New York City yesterday, causing a Broadway shutdown. Snow or no snow, BroadwayWorld took the opportunity with the near-deserted streets to shoot some photos of the beautiful snow-covered theatres. Check out the black and white pics below!

In the wake of Winter Storm Jonas, or #Snowmageddon2016 as it has been affectionately named on social media, Broadway has been completely shut down. Of course, that didn't stop BroadwayWorld from snapping some shots of the winter wonderland!

Broadway may have shutdown, but BroadwayWorld never does and we captured some photos of a snowy-Broadway, now shut down for Saturday. 

Just yesterday, Schumer joined Robert Wankel (Chairman of the Broadway Theatre League) and some of the Broadway community to commemorate the long sought after federal change. Just last night, the Harold and Mimi Steinberg Charitable Trust hosted the 2015 Steinberg Playwright Awards honoring Branden Jacobs-Jenkins and Dominique Morisseau at Lincoln Center Theater's Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater (150 West 65th Street, New York, NY 10023). The event featured readings byJocelyn Bioh, Marc Damon Johnson, Jason Dirden, Austin Durant, Dominique Fishback, Lynda Gravatt, Nikiya Mathis, Chris Myers, Carra Patterson, Will Rogers, Michele Shay and Brian Tyree Henry.

Signature Theatre just announced a second one-week extension for INCIDENT AT VICHY, by Arthur Miller and directed by Michael Wilson, due to its sold-out run. INCIDENT AT VICHY will now play through Sunday, December 20, 2015 in The Irene Diamond Stage at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues). The concert was produced and directed by David Alpert (IF/THEN, The Trip to Bountiful, The Best Man) with music direction by Jason Wetzel (After Midnight). The first North American Tour of the Tony and Grammy Award-winning musical BEAUTIFUL - THE CAROLE KING will open at the Providence Performing Arts Center in Providence, RI, later this month on September 15-20, 2015. Led by Abby Mueller (sister of Tony winner Jessie Mueller) as 'Carole King, ' it also stars NEWSIES' Ben Fankhauser as 'Barry Mann', LEGALLY BLONDE's Becky Gulsvig as 'Cynthia Weil,' Liam Tobin as 'Gerry Goffin,' Curt Bouril as 'Don Kirshner', and Suzanne Grodner as 'Genie Klein.'

The epic 25th edition of Broadway Bares celebrated the golden age of Broadway with an evening of ripped dancers, cheeky choreographers and sumptuous showgirls, raising a record-shattering $1,598,501 on Sunday, June 21, 2015, for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Broadway Bares: Top Bottoms of Burlesque featured 222 of New York's sexiest and most talented dancers, entertaining standing-room-only audiences at two performances at New York City's Hammerstein Ballroom.
