SPRING AWAKENING, opening in a limited engagement this Friday, July 20th at the Hayworth Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles, have announced their opening acts lineup.

The Theater Accident, in association with Blue Coyote Theater Group, have announced the NYC premiere of THE ZEBRA SHIRT OF LONELY CHILDREN, written and performed by Matthew Trumbull and directed by Matthew Freeman makes its NYC premiere at The New York International Fringe Festival, FringeNYC, a production of The Present Company.

The world premiere of Edith, which chronicles the political actions of first lady Edith Bolling Galt Wilson, opens Berkshire Theatre Group's Fitzpatrick Main Stage on August 4 at 8pm. Previews begin July 31 at 8pm and closing is on August 11.

THE WHO, one of rock's legendary and defining bands, have announced a major North American arena tour where they'll perform their iconic 1973 double album QUADROPHENIA in its entirety, along with a selection of WHO classics. The critically acclaimed QUADROPHENIA marked the British band's second rock opera (after Tommy), raised the bar for rock albums as an art form and hit #2 on the U.S. Billboard album chart. Sundance Institute today announced that 10 additional titles have been added to a variety of online digital platforms and storefronts through its Artist Services access to distribution program, which launched in February 2012. The films that are immediately available to rent, download and stream include Brother to Brother(starring Anthony Mackie), Children Underground (nominated for an Academy Award), Enemies of the People (current News and Documentary Emmy Award nominee) andDirty Work (executive produced by Edward Norton). Also, Indie Game: The Movie, which debuted at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival and was previously available only on iTunes, is now on additional platforms.

Guest host Tony Dovolani will be among the final cast members taking the stage for the highly successful entertainment show, Dancing with the Stars: Live in Las Vegas at the New Tropicana Las Vegas. Singers Forum, in conjunction with Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning actor/producer Alec Baldwin, have announced the four projects chosen for the first-annual Alec Baldwin Fellowship at Singers Forum. A year-long program devoted to the individualized workshopping process of each project, the Fellowship is an opportunity for emerging artists to hone and craft their work in a safe and nurturing environment. A Festival of the completed works will be presented in the Fall of 2013.

The Chicago Fringe Festival has announced the winners of the 2012 design contest are Andrew Gen, Richard Hibbert and Maschell Cha of Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon. Their design will appear on all marketing and promotional materials for the 2012 Chicago Fringe Festival, August 30 - September 9. The third annual Chicago Fringe Festival will take place at various locations throughout Pilsen. The complete schedule of performances and locations will be announced August 2. Laurel Mill Playhouse, located at 508 Main Street in historic Laurel, MD., presents GUYS AND DOLLS, a musical fable of Broadway, based on a story and characters of Damon Runyon, music and lyrics by: FRANK LOESSER, book by: JO SWERLING and ABE BURROWS, and presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI), directed by Jocelyn Knazik, choreographed by Hannah Mollerick, music director Stu Knazik and producer Patti Knazik.

150 local students who have participated in the 2012 State Theatre Acting Camp will present 'Spotlight is on You!', the 10th Anniversary recital directed by Denise Crawn of Prestige Productions on the State Theatre main stage this Saturday, July 21stat 2 PM.

The New York International Fringe Festival will feature the award winning musical Mother Eve's Secret Garden of Sensual Sisterhood, book by Uma Incrocci, Erica Jensen, and Kirk McGee, with music by Christian Pedersen, lyrics by Uma Incrocci, choreography by Ashley Wren Collins, musical direction by Jason Wynn and directed by Erica Jensen. With baseball season in full swing, NATIONAL PASTIME, a new screwball musical comedy, will make its New York debut, beginning performances Off-Broadway on August 8, 2012 at the Peter Jay Sharp Theater at Playwrights Horizons in Manhattan (416 West 42nd Street).

Faith Prince is a Tony Award winner for the acclaimed revival of Guys and Dolls, a Tony nominee for Bells are Ringing and A Catered Affair, a featured star of The Little Mermaid, and a regular on Lifetime TV's hit series Drop Dead Diva, in the role of Brooke Elliott's mother, Elaine. Anthony Freud, general director of Lyric Opera of Chicago, announced today the creative team and performance dates for Oklahoma! The classic American musical by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II will receive its Lyric Opera premiere in May 2013, following the company's regular opera season.

From Thursday, October 25 through Saturday, October 27 at 7:30 PM, OUT COLD/ZIPPO SONGS-a double-bill of dramatic song cycles with music and lyrics by Phil Kline (Unsilent Night,John the Revelator)-will be presented as part of BAM (Brooklyn Academy of Music)'s 30th Next Wave Festival, in a co-production with American Opera Projects (AOP).

Michael Martinez and Fred Coscia have announced a special appearance by vocalist Briana Davis (Smokey Joes Cafe, The World Goes Round) at An Evening of Music and Comedy at Don't Tell Mama on August, 3, 2012. This showcase and variety show will also feature singers Tara Bruno, Michelle Guadalupe, Leandra Ramm and Joanna Schubert.
