Florida Grand Opera will celebrate the start of the 72nd opera season with its annual gala - "An Evening at the Cafe Momus". Held at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County, this glamorous themed evening will follow the opening night performance of Puccini's La boheme on November 17, 2012, featuring opera stars Ailyn Perez and Arturo Chacon-Cruz.

Singer-songwriter Jackson Browne has added a string of Fall dates to his 2012 U.S. Acoustic Tour including a stop at South Bend's Morris Performing Arts Center on Thursday, October 25. Playing guitar and piano, Jackson will perform songs from his entire body of work, with varying set lists each night. Singer-songwriter and fiddle player Sara Watkins will open the Acoustic Tour as a special guest.

Bloomington Theatre and Art Center (BTAC) has announced Bloomington Civic Theatre's production of Stephen Sondheim's Sunday In The Park With George, running October 19 through November 17, 2012. This musical will be directed by Karen Weber, with associate director Rob Goudy, music director Anita Ruth, and featuring Jennifer Eckes as 'Dot' and Joey Clark as 'Georges Seurat'. BCT's production of Sunday In The Park With George is sponsored by BMO Harris Bank.

New Line Theatre, soon to start its 22nd season of alternative musical theatre, has awarded its 2012 musical theatre scholarship in the amount of $1,500 to Amanda Leigh Jerry of Nerinx Hall High School, who plans to major in musical theatre at Carnegie Mellon University. Judith Newmark, theatre critic for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, selects the winner of the scholarship each year, which is funded through the donations of New Line supporters.
