This September, the residents of four Philadelphia households will open their homes to audiences and perform in the premiere of Headlong Dance Theater's This Town Is A Mystery. Headlong has selected a diverse group of households, chosen from over forty applications in a citywide open call for participants, for this unprecedented performance project that will transform each home into a theater and its residents into performers. The pieces will be presented from September 7 through 22 as part of the 16th annual Philadelphia Live Arts Festival.

The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director) in association with Edward Negley, Neil Berg and Adam Friedson, has announced two new additions to Closer Than Ever with Lyrics by Richard Maltby, Jr. and Music by David Shire: Broadway veterans Jacquelyn Piro Donovan (Miss Saigon, Les Misérables) beginning August 3, and Julia Murney (Wicked, Wild Party) beginning August 6. Ms. Donovan will step in for Christiane Noll and Ms. Murney for Jenn Colella who will both depart to join the company of the new Broadway musical Chaplin.

The company of the first North American tour of WICKED welcomes Kim Zimmer as Madame Morrible and Cliffton Hall as Fiyero on Tuesday, August 14 and Patti Murin as Glinda on Tuesday, August 21 in Salt Lake City, UT.

This fall, the New York International Fringe Festival hit Unspeakable - described as 'a dramatic fantasia inspired by the life of comedic icon Richard Pryor' - will come to Chicago on the Royal George Theatre Main Stage, 1641 N. Kansas City Repertory Theatre's artistic director Eric Rosen has cast Broadway musical veteran Wallace Smith as the Leading Player in the Rep's production of Pippin.
