Additional casting has been announced for the upcoming national tour of Roundabout Theatre Company's "Anything Goes," at the Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles. The new Broadway revival of Cole Porter's timeless classic musical theatre masterpiece begins performances November 27, 2012, and continues through January 6, 2013. Opening is scheduled for November 28.

The National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Arts Midwest has selected Geva Theatre Center as one of 42 professional theatre companies in the United States to participate in Shakespeare for a New Generation, bringing the finest productions of Shakespeare to middle and high school students. This is the 10th year of Shakespeare for a New Generation, and the first time that Geva has participated in the program.

Full casting is now complete for the Menier Chocolate Factory production of Brandon Thomas' comedy classic Charley's Aunt, directed by Ian Talbot and starring Mathew Horne, Jane Asher, Norman Pace and Steven Pacey. Although previously confirmed in the cast, Sam Kelly has had to withdraw from the production and is replaced by Charles Kay.

The cast of internationally-acclaimed dance stars appearing in BalletMet's Global Dance Stars Gala is now complete. Artists from Boston Ballet, Houston Ballet, National Ballet of Canada, New York City Ballet, Northern Ballet of England, Tom Gold Dance and Broadway will join the talented dancers of BalletMet for this one-night-only event August 18th at the Ohio Theatre (39 East State Street).

The great Cole Porter's Can- Can, hits the Westchester Broadway Theatre stage this Fall. Written by Caleb Porter and Abe Burrows, the story revolves around 'the lovely Pistache, who owns the only café that features the sexy and provocative Can-Can. She spars with Aristide Forestier, a self-righteous judge, determined to close all Parisian dance halls. The show features the provocativly delightful Can-Can, the high-energy and physically demanding music hall dance which is a hybrid of the Polka and The Quadrille. First danced in circa 1822, it was outlawed for a number of years as immoral and prohibited by the police! How times have changed!'

Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater's Community Engagement department has been selected to participate in a pilot program with the United States Department of State to set up theater education workshops in cities across India this fall. These workshops are based on theVoices of Now program, a drama program created 10 years ago at Arena Stage that offers young artists the unique opportunity to devise and perform a piece of theater based on their own writing. Four members of Arena Stage's Community Engagement department will leave October 8 for a two-and-a-half-week journey to four cities in India.

ArtsWest Playhouse and Gallery will present Godspell, performed by our 12-16 year old Theater Conservatory students. One of the biggest Broadway hits of all time from the composer of Wicked, Godspell carries a universal message of kindness, tolerance and love. The cast, along with singing, dancing and acting, will also be playing their own instruments during our new staging of this musical theater classic, directed by Christopher Zinovitch, Becca Orts, Kody Bringman and Ryan Floresca.

The editors of Opera News have announced the honorees for the 2012 Opera News Awards, paying tribute to five superb artists who have made an invaluable contribution to the art form: sopranos Mirella Freni and Dawn Upshaw, countertenor David Daniels, baritone Simon Keenlyside, and bass-baritone Eric Owens. The eighth annual Opera News Awards ceremony will take place on Sunday, April 21 at The Plaza in New York City. All the winners - and a host of the city's cultural, civic, and social luminaries - will be present at the gala awards dinner, which will feature celebrity presenters speaking about the awardees and introducing video performance clips.

The Jewish Museum is launching Dialogue and Discourse, a new series of conversations featuring artists and scholars exploring topics related to current exhibitions and works in the Museum's collection. The first program, History Repeating, featuring artist Ori Gersht and Al Miner, Assistant Curator of Contemporary Art at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, will take place on Thursday, September 6 at 6:30 pm.
